As the fast paced drone world develops, there has been a common disaster that drones get unrecoverable damage by crashing into the water or flying in wet places. To solve that pain and enhance efficient, pratical uses of drones, in 2013, Swellpro took the lead to introduce Mariner drone, the world's first waterproof camera drone.
In 2015, with the help of over 300 Kickstarter backers, Swellpro released Splash drone. Taking further research and development, the latest Splash drone auto achieves tremendous advances on the waterproof technology and host many new excellent features. IP67 Waterproof Frame
Splash drone auto defines the highest standard whent it comes to drone waterproofing.
The quadcopter frame is fully waterproof but not fully sealed off. The easily openable top cover gives access for the replacement of the battery. A integral silicone gasket on the cover is specially designed and manufactured to prevent leakage and dissipate heat simultaneously. The motors and every single screw are stainless steel, yet further coated to withstand salt water corrosion. Just let it land on the water and Splash drone will stay afloat.
To prevent deformation by water pressure, Splash drone boasts a reinforced 450mm ABS uniframe. 590kv giant motors driving full carbon fiber propellers power the Splash drone to swim like a submarine. Hit the wave, fly in the rain, snow, against the storm, it is literally an all weather working flying robot.
The waterproof 2-axis camera gimbal is another unique breakthrough on the Splash drone.
The gimbal motors are specially coated to resist corrosion. Unlike some DIY stuff, the special coatings will not hinder the gimbal. All the cables are enclosed in the gimbal frame and connected to the drone using a waterproof plug. The lightweight waterproof case fits Gopro Hero 3, 3+, 4 and Swellpro's Zero camera. High power motors enable the gimbal to tilt in the water, but still maintain a steady camera base, regardless of the waves. The U-shape frame gives superior stabilization. A large amount of R&D has been employed on the gimbal to ensure the capturing of smooth footage not only in the air, but also underwater.
Payload Release System
The patented payload release device is a great ehancement on the Splash drone, which increases the drone's versatility in many ways.
Splash drone is a very useful device when it comes to fishing. By carring the fishing line far away in the ocean, or on a lake, and drop the bait at the desired location.
Rescuers use Splash Drone to search for stranded people. It also enables fast delivery of essential lifesaving equipment, much faster than the conventional methods. Splash drone has the ability to carry a payload of Max 1kg, with precision and simple release from the remote controller.

Live Video Feed
Splash drone adopts an analog transmitter, which excels in reducing delay to the minimum. The transmission range is up to 1km. Selection from a wide range of 40 channels eliminate the effects of noise. The FPV monitor displays real-time video stream from the camera without your mobile phone. This allows you to always know when is the best time to take the shot.
Smart to Fly
By holding the mobile phone with Swellpro's Bluetooth linker, Splash drone will constantly follow you, turn the camera to you and record every bit of your ongoing activities.
Mission planning instructs Splash drone to automatically fly along a designated path through several waypoints that you have preset using the APP.
Tap to Fly
Tap one location at a time on the map and Splash drone will navigate to the destination and hover, awaiting further commands from the pilot.
The remote controller gives agile, precise control over a distance of up to 1km. The On Screen Display (OSD) instantly returns the flight status on a built-in LCD on the controller. In GPS mode, stable automatic hovering is ensured at all times, by virtue of shielding underneath the top cover.Due to the breathability of the cover, closing the frame will not effect the barometer's ability to maintain its altitude, thereby providing a safe and reliable flight for the Splash drone. Photos and videos can be taken directly from the camera controls on the controller. With the comprehensive control of the Splash drone, whether you are a beginner, or experienced pilot, flying the Splash drone should be a stress free experience.
Safe to Fly
The Return Home function recalls Splash Drone to it’s starting point when the signal is lost.
When the battery almost runs out, Splash drone will automatically land smoothly where it is.
Low Battery Alert
If the battery voltage runs low, the controller will warn you of this, by vibrating in your hands.
